Why custom?

A typeface is an integral part of a visual identity. The design of each letter can greatly influence how a design is perceived. When those letters are designed from the ground up to fit into a specific visual system, they can significantly elevate its ability to communicate a unique personality.

My approach

Commissioning a custom typeface can be complicated and expensive. I keep the process as simple as possible without compromising a bit on what matters: distinctive design and proper engineering, a set of beautiful letters that works exactly as it should. I design letters to be as distinctive as possible within the bounds of their function. No convention for convention's sake.

Pricing

A typeface should be a powerful tool rather than an expensive luxury. Every custom typeface is tailored to the project’s actual scope and requirements, including only what adds real value. Pricing for a custom typeface consists of two parts: design/production and rights.

Part 1 depends on scope: more letters + more styles = higher price.

Part 2 depends on the size of the client: more employees + larger social media following = higher price.

The typeface will be made for you, and you can use it forever with permanent exclusivity. If you don't require permanent exclusivity, you can instead choose three years of exclusivity, after which the typeface will join my retail catalogue. In that case, it would be "yours forever" rather than "only yours forever".
