Metriculous End User License Agreement

1. Trial fonts

Trial fonts are provided so you can evaluate a typeface before purchasing a license. They contain a reduced character set, fewer features and other limitations compared with the licensed fonts.

You may use trial fonts for testing, mockups, pitches, internal presentations and showing proposed designs to clients.

You may not use trial fonts in published, public-facing or final work, including websites, social media, advertising, products, packaging, publications, apps, films, logos or wordmarks.

All other restrictions in this EULA also apply to trial fonts.

2. Your license

Your license is worldwide. There are no subscriptions, renewals or recurring fees.

The license covers the complete typeface family supplied with your purchase, including all included styles and variable fonts.

The license includes future updates to the styles included in your purchase. New styles or family expansions, such as additional widths or italics, require a license upgrade. Your existing license will be taken into account when calculating the upgrade price.

Subject to the restrictions in Section 5, you may use the fonts for any commercial or non-commercial purpose, including print, websites, apps, social media, advertising, packaging, products, publications, film and other media.

There is no limit on the number of employees, devices, installations, projects, websites, applications, impressions, products or publications belonging to the License Owner.

You may make reasonable backup copies of the font files for your own use.

Logo use

[Complete License] You may use the fonts in logos, wordmarks and other identifying marks.

[Complete License — excluding logo and wordmark] You may not use the fonts in a logo, wordmark or other primary identifying mark.

Only the line corresponding to the license purchased applies.

3. Who the license covers

The license is issued to the License Owner named at purchase.

Your employees may use the fonts for work carried out only for you.

Designers, agencies, developers, printers and other contractors may also use the fonts when working for you. They do not need a separate license.

If font files are given to a contractor, they must also receive a copy of this EULA and may only use the fonts for work covered by your license.

Contractors must delete the font files when they no longer need them for work covered by your license.

If an agency or designer uses the fonts for more than one client, each client needs its own license.

4. License Owner growth

The price of the license is based on the number of employees and largest social-media following associated with the License Owner declared when the license is purchased.

If either grows beyond the range covered by the purchased license, you must upgrade to the appropriate license within 30 days.

5. Restrictions

You may not:

• Use the fonts for political parties, election campaigns, candidates, political advocacy or lobbying without prior permission from Metriculous.
• Convert the fonts into other font formats.
• Modify, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the fonts, except where applicable law expressly permits this.
• Make new fonts based on the fonts or their typeface designs.
• Embed the fonts in a way that gives end users access to the font files for use outside the licensed website, app, document or other product.
• Give the fonts to anyone except employees and contractors as allowed by these terms.
• Use the fonts, or the typeface designs embodied in them, to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
• Put the font files on publicly accessible servers, except where webfont files need to be hosted for permitted web use.
• Put the font files in public repositories.
• Sell, sublicense, redistribute or otherwise make the font files available as a product in themselves.

You may convert text set in the fonts to outlines or other graphic shapes as part of ordinary design work. This does not count as converting or modifying the font software.

6. Ownership

Metriculous retains ownership of the typeface designs and font software. Your license gives you the usage rights described in these terms; it does not transfer ownership.

Custom typefaces commissioned from Metriculous are not covered by this EULA.

7. Termination

The license remains valid indefinitely unless you materially breach this EULA.

If a breach can reasonably be corrected, the license will only terminate if the breach is not corrected within a reasonable period after Metriculous asks you to correct it.

8. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. If you are a consumer, this does not affect any mandatory rights you have under the law that applies to you.
